Pullman High School

Pullman High School is a U.S. public high school in the city of Pullman, Washington. It is the only public high school in the city and in the Pullman School District (#267). It is a four-year high school, accepting students from one local public middle school and three public elementary schools for grades 9, 10, 11, and 12. Attendance during the 2004-2005 school year was 734. The current principal is Jason Thompson.

Pullman High School had a 95.6% graduation rate in 2005, In 2006 it fell to 94.3%. From 2000-2006, the school graduated 12 National Merit Scholars.[1]
[edit] Schedule
The school operates on a 6-period, A/B/C (3 periods/day) block schedule. Periods 1,3,5 meet on "A" days and periods 2,4,6 meet on "B" days, "C" days are dedacated to 7 period only. Classes are 100 minutes long, with a 15 minute "nutrition" break and a 45-minute lunch period. There is a current debate on changing the schedule to allow more flexible scheduling. School begins at 8:30 AM and ends at 2:35 PM.

Pullman High School is a member of the Great Northern League, and offers football, volleyball, wrestling, basketball, swimming, cross-county, track and field, golf, tennis, baseball, softball, soccer and cheerleading, as well as numerous other extracurricular activities. In the 2005-2006 school year, Pullman High School has won the State 2A football and volleyball championships.
