Pujehun District

Pujehun District lies in the Southern Province of Sierra Leone. It borders the Atlantic Ocean in the southwest, the Repubic of Liberia to the southeast, Kenema to the northeast, Bo to the north and Bonthe to the west. It occupies a total space of 4,105 km² and comprises of twelve chiefdoms.

At the 2004 census, the estimated population of Bombali district were 234,234 people. The Mende, are currently the largest ethnic group in the district. The district enjoys religious plurality - Muslim and Christians.

Diamond mining is a major economic activity in the district, as well as agricultural production of cacao, cassava, coffee, and cacao.

Pejehun district currently has nine Representatives in the Sierra Leonean Parliament, of which eight members were elected to a 5-year term. Below are Pejehun district Representatives in the Parliament:
