Puerto Rico de Gran Canaria

Puerto Rico, also -de Gran Canaria (Spanish for "rich port") is a touristic town in the southwestern Gran Canaria island. In the 1970s, tourism arrived in Puerto Rico and began opening villas, apartments, hotels, motels in the area. Originally the barranco were made out of rubble. The barranco area protects Puerto Rico from blowing winds.
Puerto Rico is a touristic area that is for family and children. Puerto Rico serves ferry routes to Puerto de Mogan (30 min) and Arguineguin (20 min) as well as the highway encircling Gran Canaria and the westernmost terminus of the GC1.
Puerto Rico is located northeast of the bay and a port with a man-made beach. Puerto Rico is famous for its beach, shops for tourists, souvenirs and a bus line linking Maspalomas and Las Palmas. The hotels are built over the mountain within the bay.
In the west has the man-made Amadores beach with the beach of Puerto Rico A tourist centre was built along with the opening of the beach in 1999. Puerto Rico offers the great Maspalomas Flair with a German supermarket. Hotels in the area are calm every night until midnight (GMT).
