Puente Nuevo

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Puente Nuevo, whose name means "new bridge" in Spanish, is the newer and larger of two bridges that span the 120m-deep chasm that divides the city of Ronda in southern Spain. The bridge was built in 1751 and took a total of 42 years to build. The bridge is supposedly one of the most photographed structures in Spain.

The older, smaller bridge is the Puente Viejo which now carries only pedestrians.
