Pueblo Nuevo, Guanajuato

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Pueblonuevo is one of the smallest municipalities in the Mexican state of Guanajuato. It is one of the municipalities with the fewest inhabitants. Its borders are Salamanca, Irapuato, Valle de Santiago y Abasolo. Pueblonuevo is a small town, from its start has always been catalogued as a "small town, difficult to rule" according to the memoirs of Dón Jose Idalecio written in 1889. Nowadays, it has suffered from supercilious mayors and inexperienced people.

Pueblonuevo is also the place where some political experimentes have been tested before hitting the national scope. For example, during the nineties, a nefast, tepid pseudo-dynasty took over politics making use of fraudulent recourses and bribes.

Pueblonuevo should always be spelled in the following form "Pueblonuevo" note that there are no spaces between the two words. This peculiarity is due to the fact that contrary to popular notions, Pueblonuevo is not a sustantive and an adjective but rather a proper name.
