The Puce Moose is, in fact, not a moose at all - but a man.

The Puce Moose (real name Dave Noble. Born Newcastle upon Tyne, 4th October 1974) is a highly successful nightclub DJ, currently based in Newcastle upon Tyne, in north-east England.

His professional DJing career began in 2004, working the private party circuit in Gateshead and the surrounding area, working for a local company called "Ultimate Events UK Ltd."

His rise to local fame began after he bcame a cult student figure while working at Newcastle's infamous Tuxedo Princess floating nightclub. His sharp suits, outlandish hairstyles and unique entertainment style soon winning him favour among Newcastle's further education community.

In 2005 he left Ultimate Events due to the company's refusal to allow him to do private work.

The Puce Moose was voted "Newcastle Gay Scene DJ of the Year" in January 2006 after working such venues in the city as Powerhouse, Eclipse, and The Dog. This was the first time a straight DJ had won the award.

Currently the resident DJ for the four star Marriott Hotel in Newcastle, The Puce Moose is set to begin a new chapter in his career by hitting the Mediteranean party island of Majorca. This move is scheduled for October 2006.
