Ptosis (breasts)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

When describing breasts, degrees of ptosis can be described in terms of the nipple's location relative to the inframammary crease, the fold where the underside of the breast meets the chest.

The gradual drooping of the breasts is a natural process that happens to nearly all women to some degree.

If the nipple is above the inframammary crease but the breast appears droopy due to the presence of a significant lower breast lobe, the phenomenon is termed "pseudo-ptosis."
