Pterelaos
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In Greek mythology, Pterelaos was king of the Thapians, who was the son of Poseidon. Poseidon had bestowed upon him a magic golden hair on his head which made him immortal and unconquerable so long as the hair grew on his head.
Pterelaos daughter Comaetho fell in love with Amphitryon, and pulled out the golden hair of her fathers head, killing him. In retribution for her deeds, Amphitryon put Comaetho to death. Other stories explain that once Comaetho removed the golden hair of Pterelaos, she also died.
