Psychology of Recovery is a movement to pressure the authors of Psychology textbooks to include the word recovery in their texts when discussing mental illness, to recognise the consumer movement etc. The change starts at the collegiate level...
U.S. Citizen, Behavioral Health worker, Psychology Student (prehaps student for life; i.e. recreational user of academia) amatuer author... I developed a passion for writing oddly enough as a child, when the first Star Wars movie came out my older brother had a paperback novel entitled "Star Wars:The Adventures of Luke Skywalker" the concept that images in the mind of George Lucas became a book, then in turn such became a movie was striking to me...This interest in being a writer has become a hobby a thing to toy around with, through out my life. In 2004 I was hired as an employee at a behavioral health rehabilitation agency, working here I became interested in the "Recovery Movement" where I was exposed to concepts and ideas which are not taught at the local community college, in fact they are not mentioned in a lot of college educators venues.
