[edit] Plot summary

Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.

Ai Shiomi is a boy with something he doesn't really want: psychic power, also known as Aura Power. "Aura power" allows certain elements such as fire, water, light and earth to be used by those with aura power and which they can use depends on their aura and what they are taught.

The "Psychic Academy", the school Ai agrees to attend after being pressured by his parents, is the elite school students go to learn how to use their elemental aura power. Ai also knows that somewhere within the "Psychic Academy" is his childhood friend Orina (Sarha to those that go there, since that is her aura code name). On his way to his first day at the Psychic Academy, Ai encounters a girl named Myu (Mew) who is another student at the Academy and a very quiet, seemingly moody girl. He also learns that his older brother Zero, a legend amongst those with Aura Powers, will be one of his teachers.

As Ai struggles with his new school, a life he is not sure he wants, a crazy rabbit that takes him as his student, his feelings for Orina and Myuu and the discovery that he has the rare "light aura", and a group of researches try to artificially awaken the dormant Aura genes within all humans (heedless of the danger), Ai's life continues to become complicated with each day in this new world that like it or not he will gradually come to realize he is a part of due to his abilities and power.

[edit] Characters

Ai Shiomi
Ai thinks he doesn't belong at the Psychic Academy, and is just not sure how to fit in, or what is his special power (which is later revealed to be the rare Light Aura). Though along with being reunited with his childhood friend, Orina, he also makes some new friends such as Myuu (Mew) and "Master Boo (Buu)".

Myuu
Myuu (or Mew), in part because her aura power deals with fire, is afraid of the rain to the point she will miss days of school when it is raining and possibly suffer panic attacks if forced to be out in the rain. She is distant, even to the point of slight rudeness, because of a traumatic experience in her past: during her childhood, her mother was killed during an Aura experiment. The explosion caused the lab sprinklers to go off, showering her shocked self with water; this caused her dislike for rain. With her friendship with Orina and Ai she slowly begins to warm up. Myu shares a bond from childhood with Ai, though neither of them realize this bond at first.
In several parts of the manga it is implied that her powers were artificially awakenend by her father, an ambitious Aura scientist; she both fears and dislikes him intensely for it.

Orina
Orina, also known as Saara which is her aura code name, is a childhood friend of Ai who still holds strong feelings for him and truly wants him to be happy in this new life Ai finds himself, while very happy herself to once again have him as a part of her own life. Her Aura is Water, which she usually employs for healing.

Zero
Zerodaimu Kyupura Pa Azaraku Vairu Rua Darogu is a famous psychic because he stopped the "Evil Lord". He is the older brother of Ai Shiomi. Zero is also an instructor for Psychic Academy though he seems to spend more time acting as protector for his little brother then he does teaching classes. His Aura specialty is steel. At the end of the story, together with Shiomi, they traveled around the world to awaken the children of Aura.

Faafa/Ren
Faafa really only wanted to get Ai Shiomi's attention, and even to a point fights Myu and Orina for Ai's attention. She had a heart transplant which sealed her brother's aura, Ren Gaina Braberry, within her own body. It is also thought that only through Ren, who is a counter to Faafa's power, is it possible to keep her from destroying herself and possibly world from her losing control of her own powers. Faafa's Aura specialty is ice, Ren's is magma.

Boo Velka Receptor Arba
Also know as Buu in the anime. Boo is a rabbit with very strong aura powers who attaches himself to Ai as Ai's "Master", believing Ai to be one of the next great "Aura Masters", and it is through "Master Boo's" training and help that Ai first starts to discover how to use some of his own aura power, and learn it rather quickly and expertly. Boo's Aura speciality are crystals.
