PSY・S (proununced [sáiz]) was created by Masaya Matsuura in April 1983 with Chaka (a pseudonym used by Mami Yasunori), and separated in 1996. Fascinated by computers, Masaya has since then worked on the sound of the Parappa The Rapper and Um Jammer Lammy games.

Some PSY・S songs were also used in anime : "Angel Night" and "Earth" in City Hunter second season, and the theme of To-y (an adaptation of the eponymous manga by Atsushi Kamijo). The song "TOYHOLIC" in the album "Mint-Electric" was reportedly inspired by "To-y".
