PSMS Medan (acronym for Persatuan Sepakbola Medan Sumatera) is an Indonesian football club based in Medan, North Sumatra. They are one of the most supported clubs in Indonesia. PSMS Medan is sometimes simply called PSMS.
PSMS is known for their rough style of football play; a style typical with teams from Sumatra.

PSMS Medan is formed as Medansche Voetbal Club (MSV) in 1930. In 1950, the team reformed back as PSMS Medan (Medan Football Club) as to get rid of it's colonial image and create a team with local identity. The Deli tobacco is used as the club's logo as Medan is famous for it's Deli tobacco plantation.
