Pseudomonas oleovorans is a methylotrophic bacteria that is the source of rubredoxin (part of the hydroxylation-epoxidation system)[1]. It was first isolated in water-oil emulsions used as lubricants and cooling agents for cutting metals[2]. The type strain is ATCC 8062.
