The popular canteen Steeleys. The canteen serves hot and cold food throughout the day and offers a place where students can relax.

[edit] Future
Psalter Lane is currently up for sale and Sheffield Hallam University is in the process of relocating the faculty of ACES (Arts, Computing, Engineering and Science) from Psalter Lane to City Campus.
Sheffield Hallam University reasons this move is necessary because the, "The Furnival Building (working title for the new build) will enable the faculty of ACES and the University as a whole to grow its business,"
[edit] Culture/Opinion
Psalter Lane has a reputation amongst some of the students for being the worst of the three campuses at Sheffield Hallam University. They cite reasons such as the lack of amenities nearby; currently 'The Psalter' pub is the only non-university commercial outlet immediately available to students, and the distance to the university from the centre of Sheffield, where much of the Student accommodation is based. Sheffield Hallam Students Union had operated a bar known as The Wham Bar on the site until 2001 when, due to poor attendances, the facility was closed at the suggestion of the then Union President and the elected Executive Group. The view of Psalter Lane as the worst campus, is not shared by all the students, many whom feel that the campuses proximity to cheap rented accommodation, and the close-knit community atmosphere, make it an enjoyable place to study.
[edit] Map
The campus is broadly composed of 8 sections; A,B,C,D,E,F,G and H blocks. Steeleys canteen, the library, the main gallery and the computer rooms are all situated within A Block. Other blocks tend to be reserved for specific subjects, including F which holds both administrative offices and rooms where film studies seminars are held.
