[edit] translation

There is an enormous backlog at Wikipedia:Translation into English#French-to-English, more than for all other languages combined. I see you are signed up at Wikipedia:Translators_available#French-to-English. Would you be at all interested in taking on one of these articles? (Full disclosure: this is a bit of a "mass mailing", I'm working my way down the whole list of French-to-English translators.) -- Jmabel 00:13, Oct 10, 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Welcome to Wikipedia!

Hello Prsephone1674, welcome to Wikipedia!

Here are some tips:

If you feel a change is needed, feel free to make it yourself! Wikipedia is a wiki, so anyone (yourself included) can edit any article by following the Edit this page link. Wikipedia convention is to be bold and not be afraid of making mistakes. If you're not sure how editing works, have a look at How to edit a page, or try out the Sandbox to test your editing skills.

If, for some reason, you are unable to fix a problem yourself, feel free to ask someone else to do it. Wikipedia has a vibrant community of contributors who have a wide range of skills and specialties, and many of them would be glad to help. As well as the wiki community pages there are IRC Channels, where you are more than welcome to ask for assistance.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask me on my talk page. Thanks, Alphax τεχ 02:47, 28 Mar 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Egyptian hieroglyph

I notice that back in December you left a note on WP:TIE that you were working on the translation fr:Hiéroglyphe==>Egyptian hieroglyph. Any update on the status? -- Jmabel | Talk 06:45, Apr 6, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Vezina

You changed the stub on this article to "euro-royal" — but not only does that look rather odd and anachronistic, the article clearly states that Vezina was a high priest, not royal. I suppose that "religious figure" might do, but that would be misleading too. Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 22:43, 8 May 2005 (UTC)

[edit] changing stubs

hello :) pls try not to be over zealous when 'stub-sorting'. French Sign Language is not a member of the Indo-European language family. I reverted the stub. If you want a more specific language stub, maybe make one for sign languages? --ntennis 28 June 2005 07:58 (UTC)

[edit] Anaximander

I saw you started editing this article. There is just one change you made for which I need you to review. In "for Anaximander, it became no longer a mere point in time, but a source that could perpetually give birth to whatever will be", you changed the with for a for. Actually, it is not only for Anaximander. I meant that since him, the term took an extra meaning. I know the difference is subtle, but it changes a lot in the meaning. Thanks for your help. — Robin des Bois ♘ 02:21, 25 March 2007 (UTC)
