Novemember 11,Rememberance Day strikes. At 11am, the Great War, or the First World War ended. For all those who suffered and died, we greatly thank, for without these brave soldiers, we might as well not be here. For four long years, they fought, to defend our Canada, and other members of the NATO. During the war, doctors and nurses aided those who were wounded. Among them, there was John McCrae. They healed, and they fought. McCrae had begun to sicken in the mind, seeing all these soldiers, all blooded and dirty. And one of these, was his friend, a lutenent. John then started to write with all his heart, soul and passion of what he had experienced. A poem called "In Flanders Field"....
Flanders fields the poppies blow Between the crosses, row on row, That mark our place; and in the sky The larks, still bravely singing, fly Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow, Loved, and were loved, and now we lie In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe: To you from failing hands we throw The torch; be yours to hold it high. If ye break faith with us who die We shall not sleep, though poppies grow In Flanders fields.
