[edit] WPEP and WNRI

I removed WPEP and WNRI from this template because they are not Providence stations as they do not cover "Providence proper" with anything remotely close to a reliable signal. Furthermore, User:J.sweeton@wnri.com (the person who made those edits) works for WNRI and has done work for WPEP in the past (when both stations were owned by Anastos, before they sold WNRI). He is quite possibly just trying to boost exposure for those stations. Wikipedia is not free advertising. See "Wikipedia Is Not a Soapbox". --Analogdemon (talk) 16:35, 14 February 2006 (UTC)

If you have any doubt that WNRI is not reach into Providence you more then welcome to check the coverage map. [1] So Jay, are you saying that because I work for WNRI that I'm not allowed to edit it? - Jerry
Sorry Jerry, I am not Jay. I'm one of Jay's friends and I've met you before at WPEP. And I'm not saying that you're not allowed to edit the article. What I'm saying is that you adding those stations to the template is a conflict of interest because the stations don't cover Providence. Radio stations are notorious for overstating their coverage maps to try and increase advertising revenues. If you drive around the Providence city limits with a car radio, the signal for WNRI and WPEP are not anywhere close to reliable. --Analogdemon (talk) 18:48, 14 February 2006 (UTC)
