... I think it's well known enough that he was a committed Christian, we don't need to take Fred Nile's word for it. So I removed the Fred Nile reference. Rocksong 03:40, 29 March 2006 (UTC)

Can't see how his religion is relevant at all, he wasn't known as a painter of religious topics. He was also rabidly anti-communist and somthing of a conspiracy theorist. Alex Law 04:20, 30 March 2006 (UTC)

If the media coverage of his death was right, he was also known for producing hand-painted bibles, so I think this does warrant mentioning. Ambi 10:13, 2 April 2006 (UTC)

Actually he did do paintings on religious subjects, and this is mentioned in passing in the article. Rocksong 05:24, 30 March 2006 (UTC)

Assuming that it is "well enough known" is hardly grounds for removing information from a Wiki. It is apparent to me that it wasnt well known that he painted religous topics. It also shows the circles he moved in etc so is very relevant for a biography.

I changed it from "He was described by Fred Nile ... as a committed Christian" to "it was well known that he was a committed Christian". My point was not to excise Nile from the article, but to point out that it was widely known that he was a Christian and we don't have to take Fred's word for it. If you want to somehow work into the article that he was friends with Nile, and you can do it in a an appropriate way, go ahead. Rocksong 10:29, 19 June 2006 (UTC)

Another thing: I think I remember hearing that Pro Hart gave away quite a lot of Bibles (with paintings in the back). In which case giving Nile a Bible doesn't necessarily mean that Hart knew him well. Rocksong 11:17, 19 June 2006 (UTC)

Thinking you remember I am assuming means you dont know. I certainly don't.

I thought it was a concise way to say that he hung out with extreme right characters. I applaud you for admitting your membership of the Family First Party, but I find your motives a little suspect now, though I will add Fred Nile back in as you suggest. Its hardly appropriate to list all his political links, but i feel it would be incomplete to not at least mention Fred Nile, if only in passing.

I had to take out 'Many of the school children in the area came to watch his sad funeral procession through the streets. ' They force school kids to go to state funerals, so its redundant, and after his suffering it should be joyous. Andreuu 22:26, 29 July 2006 (UTC)
