Proto-Balto-Slavic

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Proto-Balto-Slavic is the hypothetical language from which the Proto-Baltic language and the Proto-Slavic language hypothetically developed.

Thus, all Baltic languages and Slavic languages hypothetically developed from Proto-Balto-Slavic.

Thracian is also sometimes theorized to be related, as part of the Thraco-Balto-Slavic group (see Classification of Thracian).
