Protector M151

The PROTECTOR M151 Remote Weapon Station, is a remotely-controlled weapons station (RWS) that can be mounted to vehicles and stationary platforms. It is manufactured by Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace. [1]
The PROTECTOR is commonly used by the US Army Stryker Brigade and is documented in the Infantry Magazine [2] and PEO Soldier periodicals[3].
The system consists of a stabilized firing platform, a fire control system and control grips. Several weapons can be mounted to the platform, such as:
- M2 12.7mm machine gun,
- M240/MAG-58 7.62mm machine gun,
- Mark-19 40mm grenade launcher,
- H&K GMG 40mm grenade launcher,
- XM307 Advanced Crew-Served Weapon,[4]
- Javelin anti-tank guided missile,
- Modified Hellfire anti-tank guided missiles.[5]

- Canada on the RG-31 vehicle
- Australia on the ASLAV PC vehicle
- Finland on the AMV 8x8 vehicle
- Switzerland on the Piranha I vehicle
- Ireland on the Piranha II vehicle
- Norway on the M113 and Tactica vehicle
