Prometheia

The Prometheia is a trilogy of plays traditionally attributed to Aeschylus (there is some doubt on this subject). It comprises:
Only the first play has survived. The trilogy chronicled the trials of Prometheus, creator and protector of man, who was imprisoned for giving fire to humans. In Prometheus Bound, he is imprisoned. He is then is set free in Prometheus Unbound by Hercules. Nothing is known of what happened in Prometheus the Fire-Bringer.
