Professional Transportation Planner

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A Professional Transportation Planner (PTP) is a pending certification program being sponsored by the Transportation Professional Certification Board, Inc., and promulgated by the Institute of Transportation Engineers. At this time, domains and sub-domains are still being studied to determine what should be a part of the examination. It is likely that the examination will carry similar requirements to that of the Professional Traffic Operations Engineer certification program, which requires that an applicant be a licensed professional engineer and also have a minimum of four years of relevant working experience (of which academic experience may be substitutable). The certification program is expected to begin in 2007.
