Procamelus is an extinct genus of camelid that lived during the Miocene epoch. Its name is derived from the Greek πρό, an adverb meaning "before" and κάμελος (camel), thus "early camel." It had long legs designed for speed, was about 1.3m in height, ate plants, and had a straighter neck than the oxydactylus and aepycemelius.
