Probactrosaurus (meaning 'before Bactrosaurus') was an early hadrosauroid iguanodont. It lived in China during the Early Cretaceous Period. The type species is Probactrosaurus gobiensis, described by A. K. Rozhdestvensky in 1966. It was a herbivorous dinosaur, about 17 - 20 feet (5 - 6 metres) in length. It had a narrow snout, an elongated lower jaw and double rows of flattened cheek teeth. It was a possible ancestor of the duck-billed dinosaurs.
