A picture of Prochilodus lineatus, a South American ray-finned fish that inhabits the basins of the River Plate, the Paraná River, the Paraguay River, and the Paraíba do Sul. Its common name in the local dialect of Spanish is sábalo; in Brazil it is known as curimbatá, curimba, corimbatá or grumatã. [1]
