Talk:Priscus

Curious problem in the caption to the image. The correct spelling of the Greek word is ἹΣΤΟΡΙΑ; but the painter, getting it wrong, unequivocally painted ἹΣΤΩΡΙΑ.
I'm in favor of at least captioning it with the correct Greek spelling, since the purpose of the caption is to inform the reader on Priscus, not on the painting?

- That is reasonable. Noting the misspelling would also be acceptable, I think. —No-One Jones (m) 21:33, 4 Oct 2004 (UTC)
Hi, Mirv. Perhaps it should be mentioned that Priscus may today be best known popularly as one of the two pseudo-narrarators in Gore Vidal's novel "Julian"? BarrettBrown 03:03, 6 May 2006 (UTC)
