Royals usually don't use ordinals, so this page probably should be at Prince George, Duke of Cambridge, just like Prince Richard, Duke of Gloucester, Prince Edward, Duke of Kent, and so on. -- Lord Emsworth 02:52, Jan 9, 2004 (UTC)

I realize that royal peers do not use ordinals. I have no objection to changing the title the title of the page from Prince Adolphus, 1st Duke of Cambridge and Prince George, 2nd Duke of Cambridge to Prince Adolphus, Duke of Cambridge and Prince George, Duke of Cambridge, respectively, for the sake of consistency. The War Office Act was passed in parliament and given royal assent in 1870, not 1881 as previously listed, according to both "The Mid-Victorian Generation, 1846-1886" (p.602) and "The Historical Dictionary of the British Empire" (p.249).
