Privolzhsk

Privolzhsk (Russian: Приво́лжск) is a town in Ivanovo Oblast, Russia, located on the Shacha River (right tributary of the Volga) 51 km north-east of Ivanovo at 57.3825° N 41.2861° E. Population: 18,385 (2002 Census); 20,680 (1989 Census).

Known since 1485 as the village of Yakovlevskoye Bolshoye (Я́ковлевское Большо́е). The town of Privolzhsk was formed by merging the village of Yakovlevskoye and the neighboring settlements in 1938.
