Princess Maria of Romania is the youngest daughter and fifth child of Michael I (Mihai), King of Romania, and his wife Queen Anne. She was born on 13 July 1964 at Hellerup, Denmark.
On 16 September 1995 in New York, she married Casimir Mystkowski, a Polish Roman Catholic, thus losing her place in the British order of succession. They divorced in December 2003.
