Princess Hatice
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Princess Hatice was an Ottoman princess (18th century), daughter of Ahmed III and consort to Grand Vizier Nevşehirli Damat İbrahim Pasha.
She was married very young but, as was tradition with ottoman princesses, did not live with her husband before she was a grown up.
She was described as having a large politicall influent on both her father, who left the ruling to her husband, and on her husband, the Grand Vizier, and some sources regard her as the real ruler of the later Tulip Era (1703-1730), at least the 1720s; some historians sees her as the last female ruler de facto of the Ottoman Empire.
