Prince William County Police

The Prince William County, Virginia Police Department began operations on July 1, 1970. The Department has an authorized strength of 701 personnel and an operating FY07 budget of more than $63 million. The Department has been fully accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA) since 1987. Charlie T. Deane is the current Chief of Police and the original member of the Department. The Police Department has two Stations, Eastern District Station is located in Woodbridge and Western District Station is located in Manassas.
