Prince Fredrick Adolf (1750-1803), was a swedish Prince, youngest son of king Adolf Frederick of Sweden and queen Louisa Ulrika of Prussia and was given the title duke of Östergötland.
The duke was described as "The most beautiful Prince in Europe". He was sensitive, passive and spoild by his mother and was un easy prey to the opposition.
He had no task in his life other than the ceremonial and spent his life wasting money and invalving himself in love affairs.
Prince Fredrick Adolf was never married, and the ceremonial duties of his consort was performed by his sister Sofia Albertina, Princess of Sweden, but he lived for several years with the dancer Sophie Hagman and had a daughter, Sophia Frederica, with her.
He died in Montpellier in France in 1803.
