Primitive Plus is the 'official' debut album of hip hop artist Edan, released on March 19, 2002 on Solid Records. The album includes frequent references to some of the hip-hop 'greats' such as Big Daddy Kane, Rakim, KRS-One and Kool G. Rap. The song "Ultra '88" being a tribute to Hip-Hop group Ultramagnetic MC's and the song "Rapperfection" being created from a line featured on a song by Kool G. Rap. Edan displays his attributes as a rapper, DJ and Producer on this album and displays his ability to rap in several styles and at different paces.
