The Pribor-3B was a three barrel rifle and was the soviet rival to the U.S. Project SALVO rifle programme. It was a bullpup rifle and took the 7.62x39 round as used in the AK47/AKM Assault Rifles.
The point of the Pribor-3B was the same as Project SALVO, To produce a 'Meroka' assault rifle since it will have more chance of hitting the target and a slightly higher rate of fire, It is not known if this weapon fired in Semi/Full automatic fire.
There are rumours saying the Pribor-3B had a violent recoil so the sights had to be set in a particular angle.
The designer of this weapon was German A. Korobov, who also designed the highly successful TKB-517, TKB-408 and TKB-022 Carbines.
