Prevent the World was a single released by indie rock band Criteria. It was released July 26, 2005 on Saddle Creek Records. It is the first single off their album released a couple of months later titled, When We Break. It features the first song off of When we Break, a non-album track, and a remix of "Self Help," with Gretta Cohn on cello.

This single is the 85th release of Saddle Creek Records.
