Pretty Little Baka Guy is a 1986 American album by female Japanese rock trio Shonen Knife singing in English. "Making Plans for Bison" mocks today's trend towards overglamorization, while masquerading as a simple protest of mankind's poor treatment of animals, "He has a right to live though he's ill-shaped." "Summertime Boogie" answers the question, "What can I do this tired summer?" in 4/4 time. "I Wanna Eat Chocolate Bars" helps boys understand the opposite sex. "I like chocobars . . . Any kind of chocobars." No guy could come up with a line like that. "Public Bath" imparts insight into the attraction of going to take steambaths. "Devil House" is a standard visit to a haunted house but related in Japanese translated into precocious English.
"Antonio Baka Guy" shares the simple pleasure of looking at a big seashell. "Ice Cream City" features a visit to that mythical land, where one can enjoy eating yummy stuff all day. "Ah, Singapore" neatly sums up that city-state, which apparently impressed the girls. "Riding on the Rocket" explains how, even once we travel throughout our solar system, ice cream shall remain an important element of any trip. Somehow a mambo-dancing cat figures in, too. "Kappa Extract" concerns some green liquid which is fun to drink.
