Preston Road tube station is a station on the Metropolitan Line. It is in Zone 4, and lies between Northwick Park tube station and Wembley Park.

It is served by 'slow' trains (fast and semi-fast trains are non-stop between Wembley Park and Harrow-on-the-Hill station).

The horticultural displays on the platform have won many awards over the years, but fell into disrepair for some years. Fortunately with the current refurbishment of the station the floral decorations have since been revived, providing a cheerful touch of colour and a point of interest to entertain the traveller in the wait between trains.

The station also used to be famous for the goldfish that used to live in the pond on the platforms. This was drained around the same time that the gardens fell into disrepair.

The point where Preston Road crosses the railway line is the border between the postal areas of Harrow and Wembley.

The 10th Section of the Capital Ring passes the station.
