Pressure (musician)

Pressure MC (Dan Smith) is one of the MC's of the Adelaide-based Hip-Hop group the Hilltop Hoods. He's spent nearly his entire life in the hills of Adelaide and still lives there to this day. From a young age he was in to Hip-Hop and with Suffa MC, DJ Next and (when DJ Next left) DJ Debris formed the Hilltop Hoods. His first raps started out as a dis to one of his teachers who was excessively over weight and developed from there to an outlet where he would speak his mind about anything. He adopted the view that rapping isn't just about making two sentences rhyme or telling people how hard you are, it's all about putting your thoughts in to words and making it all fit together. Pressure MC started writing pre-1994 and has been writing ever since so he is now well practiced in his art.
