The President's Bodyguard is the Household Cavalry regiment of the Indian Army.

It was formed in 1773, and until 1947 was known as the Governor General's Bodyguard. In 2003 it had four officers, 14 NCO's and 161 men, a total strength of 179 men. Throughout its history the Bodyguard has varied in size from 50-strong when first raised, to 1,929 in 1845. However, it was usually around squadron size, about 130 men.

It is a mounted unit, with both horses and BTR-60 vehicles.

The Presidential Palace (Rashtrapati Bhawan) has a unit, known as the Rashtrapati Bhawan Guard Battalion, drawn from the Brigade of the Guards.
