Prempeh College, the Asante Royal Boarding School for Boys of all ethnic backgrounds is the Kings College of Ghana. Founded in 1949 by Asantehene Sir Osei Agyemang Prempeh II, it is located in a surburb of Kumasi (the Ashanti Regional capital) called Sofoline.

The mission of Prempeh College is to serve the community, the nation, and the world by educating and preparing students to discharge the offices of life with usefulness and reputation. We do this through a partnership of students and teachers in a unified community known as a college.

Prempeh is now the academic home of more than 1600 young men, of whom approximately 80% are boarders. The park-like campus and the beautiful architecural masterpieces, which rivals God's-created Eden, where old blends with new in timeless tranquility, form a background for a vibrant, forward- looking community of fiercely proud boys, a commited, caring staff and a dynamic supportive parent body (PTA) and Old Boy's Association (AMANFOO).

The Prempeh Experience is refinement, tradition and excellence. This is accomplished by meeting the educational and personal needs of our pupils and by giving them the opportunities, skills and motivation to succeed. The enormous success of many Prempeh Boys since 1949 bears testimony to the value of the Prempeh Experience.
