Premier Rides

Premier Rides is an amusement park ride manufacturer whose innovations include the use of Linear Induction Motors (LIMs) on their rides. They are best known for their LIM roller coasters.
An accident on Batman & Robin: The Chiller at Six Flags Great Adventure caused Six Flags to close all of their rides. The problem seems to have started when Premier started to remove the OTSR on their rides. It seems on some of the ride, so much weight was removed that it started to cause malfunctions on some of the rides. The the catapult outdoor and indoor coasters seem not to be affected by this because the problem is only prevalent in rides with booster LIMs. But the shuttle coasters use booster LIMs at the middle or end of the track so the Train will have the inerta to complete the course in reverse. The catapult coasters only utilizes LIMs for the first launch. The other rides will be closed for the remainder of the 2006 season as they undergo retrofitting.

Mad Cobra originally opened at Suzuka Circuit in 1998, before being moved to Discovery Kingdom in 2006.
