Reread the article. Before there was widespread media, news was often delivered at prayer meetings (which could be held at ANY church, in any country, and were), particularly if it concerned recent crises or events, such as the one which prompted the meeting in the first place. Many movies, novels, etc. about historical events or periods include mentions of such meetings; too many to list examples. Zephyrad 10:13, 26 July 2006 (UTC)
