[edit] Synopsis
Aeryn is on a small Scarran freighter commanded by Captain Jenek, being tortured to find out what she knows. In her cell, Aeryn tells herself the story of Djancaz Bru, a Sebacean goddess who was worshipped faithfully, but she turns around and destroys 5 worlds. When asked by the dying Sebaceans why she would destroy them, she says "because I can." Aeryn prays to her to save her and her baby, and prays for a sign that John is looking for her.
A Sebacean nurse is assigned to monitor Aeryn's condition, and she uncovers that Aeryn is pregnant. Aeryn is then put with another female, Morrock, who also claims to be pregnant, as part of a breeding program of the Scarrans. She urges Aeryn to talk, and as evidence of what can happen, Captain Jenek has Morrock's fetus visibly killed while still in the womb. Left alone, Morrock tries to convince Aeryn to join her in committing suicide with some pills Morrock has hoarded. Instead, Aeryn kills Morrock, knowing she was a plant to help mind-frell Aeryn. Jenek hopes to use Aeryn's fetus to get the genetic knowledge of wormholes that John has passed on to it--if John is the father. Aeryn is tortured to get her to admit who the father is. She resists, and claims the father could be any one of dozens of men; the father could be a man she knew during her time with the assassins, Lechna; the father could be Velorek. But repeated applications of torture and truth serums finally force Aeryn to admit that the father is Crichton--"only ever Crichton." Genetic tests confirm the father is of no known species.
As the episode ends, Aeryn prays that she is willing to make a deal with anyone or anything to save the life of her child.
While Aeryn is undergoing her ordeal, John and Scorpius have headed to bizarro Moya to find out where Katratzi is. They arrive and demand of Stark/Sikozu the location. She says she only has that knowledge available to her while she's crossing someone over. Scorpius grabs hybrid Noranti/Rygel, and shoots him/her in front of Sikozu. But a terrified Sikozu explains she has to love the soul to be able to cross them over. So Scorpius grabs hybrid Aeryn/Chiana, and John moves to kill her--everyone is going to die in a half hour, anyway, when the Peacekeepers attack the ship; it's pre-ordained and they can't change it. There is a tense moment as Aeryn/Chiana begs for her life from John, and Stark/Sikozu says she won't help them, and then he puts his gun down, unable to kill her. Scorpius immediately grabs John's arm and, John's finger still on the trigger, Scorpius pushes it to kill Aeryn/Chiana.
Stark/Sikozu tells them where Katratzi is, and they make their way back to Moya to prepare their attack.
