[edit] What is Pranic Healing?

Pranic healing is the ancient art and science of healing. Our whole physical body is composed of a visible physical and an invisible energy body. In Pranic Healing energy, prana or chi is used to heal the whole physical body.

The body can get very congested by emotional issues, energetically contaminated places and much more commonly stress. Our bodies have a natural tendency to repair, attempting where possible to restore balance and allow healing to occur. Pranic healing augments this process and has many physical, emotional and psychological benefits.

[edit] What does Pranic Healing involve?

Pranic Healing is a no touch modality. The client sits comfortably, eyes closed and palms upward. The tongue is connected to the palate, facilitating the flow of energy through the body. A well known modality which works in a similar way is Reiki.

The healer scans the client’s energy body. This process allows the healer to determine the size and the state of health of the chakras. They may be overly full or depleted. Using a crystal the energy body is first cleansed then energized, assisting the body to rebalance. Negative, old or diseased energy can be removed.

Most people find healing a very pleasant and relaxing experience. It is not uncommon to experience the movement of energy around the confines of the physical body. A feeling of lightness is often reported by recipients of the healing.

[edit] Common disorders which respond to Pranic Healing

Pranic Healing is an energy modality. As such it can be used to treat a wide variety of conditions. In the process of rebalancing the chakras, the physical, emotional and psychological wellbeing of the client can be augmented.

Often conditions where western medicine has little to offer can be altered by Pranic Healing. It is excellent as a complementary form of therapy. The pranic model of addiction is more comprehensive in my view. As always the addict must have clear and firm intent to cease using the substance.

[edit] Grand Master Choa Kok Sui

The Grand Master is a truly advanced spiritual being. Whist in this incarnation, he was a scientist, chemical engineer and philanthropist. He has spent much of his life studying energy and experimenting with the use of energy to heal people. Fortunately from a young age he was surrounded by many advanced energy practitioners.

He was able to observe, learn and begin to experiment with the predictable effects of energy healing. Many years of experimentation, validation and ongoing practice produced modern day pranic healing. Many protocols were developed, making healing more reliable, easy to learn and most importantly effective.

He has written many books, many of which have been translated world wide. In an endeavour to assist us to grow he has founded Arhatic Yoga Meditation. His interest in esoteric matters was not limited to only one religious or cultural belief system. In an attempt to assist us to grow and understand ourselves, he investigated many. Not a spiritual recluse, until his recent passing he continued to travel and teach.

[edit] Useful Web Sites

I have included some interesting web sites relating to Pranic Healing and the effect of subtle energy on the body. To make it easier to get the information you need I have included a brief summary of the content of the sites listed below.

www.pranichealing.org contains a general overview of Pranic Healing. It includes information about the modern day founder of this modality as well as some of the world wide humanitarian activities that he is involved in.

www.meditatepeace.com is a beautiful site for those concerned about global peace and harmony. It provides a simple explanation of an old but powerful meditation, “Meditation on the Twin Hearts”. It gives us a basic skill to help raise the global consciousness.

www.Hado.net is a site devoted to a Japanese researcher: Dr Masaru Emoto. He has gained world wide acclaim for his studies of the effect of subtle energy on water crystals. It is an interesting an interesting site with far reaching implications for humanity.

To try this modality, find a practitioner near you on the net.

[edit] Healing Vs Curing

The body has a tendency to heal. Healing at times seems erratic in its course. Healing may not always be total in which case it would be known as curing.

As the energy bodies become cluttered by environmental factors, foods, thought, negative emotions and stress; the resultant deterioration of health, seeps from the outside closer to the body. Finally it will manifest in the physical reality. Some things in our physical reality bother us more than others. We may not always have enough connection with our inner selves to clearly determine what comes first and what comes after.

Healing tends to address the disorders in this way. The order is not always our own personal order. At times it may serve us in our spiritual development to continue to experience a certain set of circumstances.

Pranic healers are committed to their spiritual development. They know that in order to serve by healing, they need to heal themselves, maintain rightful attitudes and meditate regularly. In this way they are able to access a greater quantity of spiritual energy and give more potent healings.

Spiritual development is a path, an interest and an ongoing pleasure. For those seriously interested in their own spiritual development, I would like to recommend three books which I personally believe, act as good catalysts in assisting small shifts of consciousness. This list is by no means all inclusive, but it provides a good starting point.
