[edit] History
Prairie Public Broadcasting was originally founded in 1959, as the North Central Educational Television Association (NCETA), by Dr. Ted Donat. In 1964 the first station of the NCETA, KFME in Fargo, went on the air.
NCETA would change it's name to Prairie Public Broadcasting in 1974, starting with the establishment of KFME's first satellite station, KGFE in Grand Forks, that same year.
