Prairie Dawn

Prairie Dawn is a fictional character, a rather mature seven-year-old Muppet girl on the children's television program Sesame Street. She is similar in appearance to a character from the Anything Muppets. She is famous for writing school pageants (e.g., Sesame Street Little Theater) for her friends, mostly Ernie and Bert, Herry, Grover, and Cookie Monster. She has appeared on Sesame Street since early in the show's history. Prairie is puppeteered by Fran Brill who also performs the more recently introduced character Zoe.
On the revamped Sesame Street, she helps Cookie Monster during his Letter of the Day segments.
She can also be seen on the TV series Play With Me Sesame, which airs on Noggin.
