Praia das Gatas

Praia das Gatas (last part: Portuguese meaning cat, also in the Capeverdean Crioulo forms of ALUPEC/ALUPEK and the São Vicente: Praia d' Santa Mónica) is a beach covering the northeastern coastline of the island of Boa Vista in Cape Verde. Its total length is approximately 10 km and it extends from the area east of Norte to the island's northeasternmost point. The beach are accessed with a remote road and connecting with Norte and the rest of the island. This portion of the area remains unhabited. The area around the beach are flat to the south and mountainous to the west and lower ones to the northwest.

The point offers a view of the Atlantic Ocean as well as its nearby area. It is one of the places in Cape Verde where it cannot offer a view of other islands.
