Praia Branca (Portuguese meaning white beach, Capeverdean Crioulo, ALUPEC or ALUPEK: Praia Branka, also in the São Vicente Crioulo) is village and a beach in the northwestern part of the island island of São Nicolau. It is part of the municipality of Tarrafal de São Nicolau . It is linked with a remote road encircling the western half and with Tarrafal de São Nicolau.

Praia Branca features farmlands in the valley areas and rarely in its slopes. The mountains covers the area and are mainly grasslands with a few trees and forests in the eastern portion. Its nearest beach is to the northwest as well as the Atlantic Ocean.

Most of the houses are built with mud-brick and stone, the rest are concrete or sand with stone and some houses are built with brick and steel reinforced concrete. The area is in the island's low class. A part of the needy materials comes from the island capital, the island capital and the diaspora. But for other needs, electricity, communications, appliances and street lights are partially available in the area as well as phone lines since the late-20th century. A part of the necessities also comes from the island capital.
