Pozzol Groppo is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Alessandria in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 110 km east of Turin and about 35 km east of Alessandria. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 394 and an area of 13.9 km2.[1]
The municipality of Pozzol Groppo contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) San Lorenzo and Bigiasco.
Pozzol Groppo borders the following municipalities: Cecima, Godiasco, Momperone, Montemarzino, and Volpedo.
The actual comune was formed from the merging, in 1929, of the two previous Pozzol and Groppo.
