Power harassment

Power harassment is harassment or unwelcome attention of a political nature, often deriving in the environment of a workplace. It includes a range of behavior from mild irritation and annoyances to serious abuses which can even involve forced activity beyond the boundaries of the job description.Power harassment is considered a form of illegal discrimination and is a form of political and psychological abuse, and bullying.

Although there are many origins of such nature, it came to wide publicity from the Japanese work environment especially during the "economic animal" era. The term itself was coined by Okada Yasuko in 2002.

Many workers were forced to perform tasks out of their power/time, due to the simple fact that it was an order from their superior. If the reply was not filling to the superior, the workers would fail to keep their job or have a severe negative impression.
Upon accepting the order, the victim then would fall into the following outcome due to the workload.
